Rituals & Spellwork

Ritual work is the art of slowing down and weaving intention into simple acts. It is the practice of turning everyday gestures — lighting a candle, circling salt, speaking a word — into sacred moments that align you with cycles of nature and the wisdom of your own soul. Through ritual, the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and life itself becomes a vessel of magic. Ritual work is a spiritual and energetic practice — it does not diagnose, treat, or cure any health conditions.

Our candles and salts serve as tools for energy work, intention setting, and spellcraft. Each piece is designed to help you align with the cycles of nature, create sacred space, and anchor your personal magic.

Not at all. Rituals are for everyone — whether you’re new to this path or have practised for years. Each item is created to be intuitive and easy to weave into your daily or seasonal practices.

There is no single right way. Light a candle with intention, sprinkle salt around your altar, or simply place them in your space as a reminder of your focus. Trust your intuition — it will guide you. To help you on your journey, a ritual guide accompanies each candle.

No. All Ruh Rituals creations are intended for spiritual and energy work only. They are for external use only and should never be ingested or used on your skin.

Yes, we offer custom orders for special occasions. These creations are handcrafted to reflect the specific intention or energy you wish to honour, making them uniquely personal and meaningful. If you would like to commission a custom order, please reach out to us at info@ruhrituals.in with your request. We will review the details and confirm if it aligns with our craft and available ingredients before proceeding.

Note: Our minimum quantity for custom orders is 25 candles/ritual sets.

No. Ritual work is not a guaranteed outcome — it is a practice of intention, alignment, and patience. Because each item is handcrafted to order, we cannot accept returns for unmet expectations of results. The tools hold the energy; the unfolding of the ritual lies in your connection with them.

No flame burns without leaving a trace, and no candle can ever be completely non-toxic. Yet each of ours is crafted to be as pure and gentle as possible — poured with unadulterated coconut soy wax, adorned with naturally dried herbs, and lit by eco-wicks. Our fragrances are phthalate-free, soft, and subtle — filling a closed room with quiet presence rather than overwhelming scent. Every ingredient is ethically sourced, cruelty-free, and 100% vegan, created to honour both your ritual and the earth.

Yes. Sustainability is at the heart of how we craft and deliver each product. As a small home-grown brand, we strive to be as sustainable as possible — ensuring that everything we source, produce, and sell carries minimal waste and can be reused wherever possible. We do not use plastic in any of our packaging. Instead, we work with recycled craft paper, biodegradable materials, and keep ink usage minimal across all collaterals. Every box, vial, and wrap is designed to return gently to the earth, leaving little trace behind. Our choices ensure that your ritual arrives safely while honouring the environment — creating beauty without burden.

Ritual Lore

Every question carries an echo of ancient wisdom — here are a few ways ritual has long been used to weave protection, abundance, and transformation.

Rituals in daily life

Begin simply. Light a candle with a clear intention, sprinkle salt at a doorway, or sit quietly beneath the moon and speak your wish aloud. Ritual is not about elaborate tools — it is about presence. Even the smallest act, when done with sincerity, becomes magic.

No. Ritual work is not a replacement for medical treatment or professional care. It is a spiritual practice meant to support your energy, focus your intentions, and deepen your connection to yourself and the world around you. For health concerns, always seek guidance from a qualified medical professional.

For centuries, cultures around the world have turned to salt, fire, and smoke as guardians against the evil eye. Black salt scattered at thresholds, protective herbs burned to ash, or a single flame lit with intention were believed to create a boundary no malice could cross. In keeping with this ancient wisdom, ritual work helps you weave a circle of energy that deflects harm and fortifies your spirit.

Folklore is filled with charms of prosperity — coins buried beneath thresholds, cinnamon burned at dawn, basil hung by doorways. These acts symbolized an invitation to abundance, calling wealth to flow like a river. Modern ritual work carries this lineage forward: by lighting a candle, circling salt, or speaking your desires aloud, you align with the energy of plenty and open yourself to opportunities that echo prosperity.

Ancient healers often used water, salt, and herbs to wash away heaviness, believing stagnant energy could tangle the soul. Rituals of release — sweeping with a broom of twigs, scattering salt to purify, or casting herbs into fire — symbolized unbinding what no longer served. In your own practice, ritual becomes a way to dissolve knots of energy, creating pathways where once there was none.

From rose petals in baths to garlands of marigold strung across doorways, love rituals have long been part of human folklore. They were less about conjuring another’s affection and more about softening the heart, making space for tenderness to arrive. When you light a flame or scatter petals in intention, you call on that same timeless magic — aligning your spirit with love, harmony, and connection.

In old tales, the signs were subtle — a bird’s call at the right moment, a candle flickering strangely, a dream that lingered at dawn. Magic has always spoken in whispers. Sometimes you’ll feel an immediate shift; other times, the effects will ripple outward slowly, manifesting as synchronicities, opportunities, or a sense of lightness within. Trust the unseen — ritual work plants its roots both in the spirit and in the story the world begins to tell around you.

No. Ritual work belongs to everyone. Across cultures and centuries, people have lit candles, circled salt, and spoken words of blessing — not as witches, but as humans seeking connection with the unseen. You don’t need a title or lineage; only intention and openness.

Folklore teaches us that moon phases, seasons, and thresholds carry power — the full moon for illumination, dawn for beginnings, crossroads for choice. While time and place can add potency, rituals are not bound by them. What matters most is your presence, focus, and the sincerity of your intention.

Ritual itself is not harmful when practiced with respect. Its roots lie in protection, healing, and connection. However, approaching ritual with malice or neglecting safety (like leaving a candle unattended) can invite imbalance. Align your work with care, and ritual will support you.

While folklore is full of stories of curses and hexes, Ruh Rituals does not create tools for harm. Our craft is rooted in protection, abundance, clarity, and self-alignment. Rituals are most powerful when used to elevate your own energy, not to diminish another’s. What you send out into the world always finds its way back.

No. Rituals are not punishments or threats — they are invitations. In folklore, they were seen as a means to align with nature’s rhythms, rather than as curses, if left undone. Skipping a ritual will not invite bad luck; it simply means the moment passes without that added layer of intention. Think of ritual work as a gift you give yourself — a way to deepen connection, not a burden to fear.

No. There is no single “right” way to practice ritual — only your way. Folklore shows us that people across cultures worked with what they had: a candle, a handful of salt, a spoken word. What matters is intention, presence, and sincerity. Even if it feels imperfect, your ritual will carry the energy you put into it, and that is what makes it powerful.

Rituals are whispers to the unseen — may yours be heard, honored, and answered.

And may each flame, each grain of salt, and each word spoken in intention carry your spirit closer to the magic you seek.
